Variety is the spice of life

Biodiversity is the large amount of different species of organisms on Earth. Biodiversity is important to our world because it gives many organisms different variety's of food, medicine, and other resources. It also gives a sense of variety on Earth. The impact of humans on the Galapagos Islands is threatening the worlds biodiversity because pollution and human wastes threaten organisms and their habitats both directly and indirectly. The many different species of organisms on the island are like no others on Earth. If the populations in certain species decreases it could harm other if not all the species of the Earth. We could use initiatives similar to the ones mentioned in "Humans Threatening the Galapagos" such as using more fuel efficient vehicles and reducing waste production.
